Addicted to Waves
When the morning Moroccan sun hits the coast, grab your board and head for the beach — this is how every day starts here. Our Moroccan surf retreat blends laid-back beach life with real, hands-on coaching to help you progress at your own pace. Between waves, explore coastal villages, sip mint tea, and soak in the slow, easy rhythm of Morocco. Leave with better skills, great memories, and a place you’ll want to return to.
Schedule
-
After your arrival in Agadir and transfer with your luggage, you'll get settled in at the Blue Pearl Hostel and meet the team and your fellow camp-mates. You will then have the opportunity explore the local area, a beautiful seaside village just up the coast from Agadir, followed by a lovely home-cooked Moroccan dinner on the terrace. The evening concludes with games, providing a chance to mingle before an good night sleep in preparation for your first day of surfing.
-
Your day begins at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast on the terrace, enjoying local Moroccan breads, pastries, tea, and coffee with views of the bay. After collecting your wetsuit and board and meeting the instructors, the team heads out to spot-check the best local breaks, including Devil’s Rock, Banana Point, and Panoramas. When the ideal conditions are found, you’ll dive into a 2-hour surf lesson, covering technique, positioning, and plenty of one-to-one coaching in the water.
After lunch, enjoy time on the beach to relax or keep surfing before heading back to The Blue Pearl. On your return, unwind by the ocean or join a yoga session, followed by a home-cooked dinner to end the day.
-
Day three will follow a schedule similar to the previous day, beginning with breakfast served on the terrace. This will be followed by a morning of surf, building upon the skills you learnt the previous day.
Late afternoon is reserved for free time, culminating in a session of guided conversation and games held just before dinner at 7:30 PM.
-
Day four's, coming towards our half-way point! The morning and evening will follow the same slow-paced structure as before, of breakfast, surf and chill.
However, the afternoon offers an optional trip to explore the city of Agadir, including visits to the Souk El Had, the reconstructed Medina, and a walk along the coast to the Marina.
-
Day 5 of the retreat is a little more of the same - SURF SURF SURF!
Depending on the season, the afternoon activity may offer excursions to discover the stunning natural oasis of Paradise Valley, the historic walled town of Taroudant, or the legendary surf village of Imsouane.
-
On the penultimate evening of this beautiful retreat, we look forward to celebrating the bonds we've forged and the invaluable skills we've acquired. Beyond our standard schedule, the evening will feature a special Family Dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a vibrant night of dancing, captivating live music, and engaging games.
-
As the camp draws to a close, we will share our penultimate breakfast on-site, using the time to reminisce and share cherished memories we have created together. The morning will be dedicated to completing our final day of surf; although you will have some sore muscles and feel exhausted you will have developed skills and friendships for life.
-
It's time for our final goodbyes. Albeit a bittersweet moment, the lasting memories you have made and the new skills you have honed will stay with you forever. Whether your departure is from the bus station or the airport, rest assured that we have all your travel arrangements covered. (Or perhaps you'll decide to extend your stay for a couple more days!)
